1) What was the general theme or argument of the
book?
This book helps teach the
reader how to properly market to gain an audience. It also helps the reader utilize
common social medias, like Facebook, to market in a modern way. They provide checklists
so the reader can stay on track with their goals.
2) How did the book, in your opinion, connect
with and enhance what you are learning in ENT 3003?
In class we also use
modern technologies. By blogging, we are gaining an audience. If we continued
to use this social media our audiences would grow.
3) If you had to design an exercise for this
class, based on the book you read, what would that exercise involve?
I would make it mandatory
for all student to blog- but not just about class related matter. Each student
would have to create their own personal blog and talk about what ever they are
passionate about. This would be good practice and would be enjoyable for the
students.
4) What was your biggest surprise or 'aha'
moment when reading the book? In other words, what did you learn that differed
most from your expectations?
My biggest aha moment
is that I can utilize things from day to day life to further my career and become
better at marketing.

ReplyDeleteI think that it is great that you chose a book that will help you learn how to interact with your current customers and learn how to attract new customers online. Recently, social media has begun to play a huge role in customer interaction compared to in the past when most advertisement was localized to sings and billboards. So, learning how to properly utilize social media is a new and essential skill.

ReplyDeleteI was looking at this book to read but went with another one instead. Although this one sounds like one that I will read in the future because I'm interested in learning about how to use social media to enhance my personal brand and hopefully one day, my business. I think the class exercise is a perfect assignment. Nowadays, everybody has a personal website or blog, so learning how to increase your online presence or create one would be beneficial.

ReplyDeleteI have not read this book before, but it sounds like it provides a lot of useful information regarding Facebook and other popular social media platforms. It's great that you were able to connect the messages in the book to what we have learned throughout this class. Through blogging in ENT3003, we have been able to engage with our audience through comments and reviews. Great post!
