1) You read about
an entrepreneur: STEVE JOBS
What surprised you
the most?
That he was kicked out
of his own company, and just continued to build his next empire. I can only
imagine how frustrating it would be to have to start over.
What about the
entrepreneur did you most admire?
That he never gave up.
No matter what was thrown at him he tried and tried again until he succeeded.
What about the
entrepreneur did you least admire?
He was so absorbed in
each of his projects that he could not see past what he is doing in the moment. If
he could anticipate what would happen next maybe he wouldn’t have been kicked
out of his first company.
Did the
entrepreneur encounter adversity and failure? If so, what did they do about it?
He moved on to his
next project. Even if he failed, he would get up again and try his next
venture. He finds any way possible to succeed.
2) What
competencies did you notice that the entrepreneur exhibited?
Steve Jobs is deeply intelligent
and eager to learn. These two characteristics are what lead him to become such
a phenomenal entrepreneur.
3) Identify at
least one part of the reading that was confusing to you.
That Steve Jobs was so
smart that school was difficult for him. You would think that his intelligence would
help in his schooling, but instead it made him above it all.
4) If you were able
to ask two questions to the entrepreneur, what would you ask? Why?
I would ask him “If he
could start all over what would he do?” and “What is the most important skill
he thinks any entrepreneur should have”.
5) For fun: what do
you think the entrepreneur's opinion was of hard work? Do you share that
opinion?
That hard work is
necessary if you want to succeed. I agree with this mindset. It does not matter
how smart you are, as long as you are wiling to work as hard as possible to get
what you want, you will get it.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteGreat work on your answers to these questions. I did not read this book but Steve Jobs is a big role model for a lot of people in the world as he is the creator of the apple products that 50% of the people use. It is respectable that even though he went through so many failures in his life, he was able to over come those and become one of the most successful people in the world.
